The Vorwerk Group is marking its 140th anniversary by sponsoring the further development of the renowned Von der Heydt Museum with a long-term funding project. Over a period of three years, beginning before 2023 is out, Vorwerk will be sponsoring the museum to the tune of 150,000 euros in total. With this gesture, Vorwerk underscores its deep connection with the region and once again reaffirms its ongoing commitment to supporting and participating in cultural projects in and around Wuppertal.

The shell of the new Thermomix® production building is in place – and that is the occasion of the roofing ceremony Vorwerk is celebrating today at the construction site in Donnemain-Saint-Mamès near Châteaudun in France. About a year ago, the company announced the construction project as part of the Choose France Summit. Guests at the event included French Industry Minister Roland Lescure and Philippe Vigier, French Minister for Overseas Affairs and long-time former member of parliament for the Eure-et-Loir constituency.

The company reaffirmed its ties to home with a ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the new Wuppertal headquarters. Vorwerk has been in the city since it was founded in 1883. In addition to the Executive Board of the Vorwerk Group and a number of project participants, the guests also included high-ranking politicians such as Hendrik Wüst, Minister President of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), and Uwe Schneidewind, Mayor of Wuppertal.

Vorwerk and Wuppertal - a connection that has existed since the company was founded 140 years ago. And one that will continue to endure: the company is now building a new office building in Wuppertal.

With record sales of 3.4 billion euros, the Vorwerk Group continued its growth course in 2021. After the positive effects from the implementation of Strategy 2025 and the performance of the Vorwerk direct sales system were already reflected in an extraordinarily successful annual result in 2020, the Wuppertal-based family-owned company was able to increase its sales by another 6.4 percent in 2021.
