Vorwerk Group DE | Innovation For Tomorrow

Innovation for tomorrow

From gramophones and vacuum cleaners to smart kitchen solutions, courage to change has defined Vorwerk for more than 140 years. Our innovation emerges where technology, everyday life, and human needs intersect.

Why we're uniquely positioned for innovation

Our “sweet spot”: hero products and direct sales

Vorwerk’s strength springs from a powerful combination — our direct sales model and categorydefining product ecosystems. Together, they define our “sweet spot,” the core of our Strategy 2030, where product excellence and human connection reinforce one another and drive real impact.

Going beyond what we sell

Our Sweet Spot empowers us not only to decide what we sell, but also how we sell it. By orchestrating both our offering and the experience—and by maintaining a long-term focus—we can intentionally create disruption and paradigm shifts, while our community of advisors directly generates demand for them. They bring the Thermomix®/Bimby® and Kobold ecosystems to life in our customers’ homes, where needs are real and decisions are made.

Experiences delivered straight to your home

True innovation isn’t only invented — it’s experienced. Our product ecosystems serve your needs: when you’re striving for recognition and following your passions, and when you’re seeking comfort and reducing mental load. That’s why the Sweet Spot is our catalyst — translating breakthrough ideas into practical, everyday value that lasts. This is where the magic happens.

How we innovate

Column 2
From exploration to prototype

We embrace and foster complexity and controlled chaos in early development phases - as fertile ground for disruption. Instead of rigid targets, we prioritize creativity, flexibility, and learning:

  • Small, cross‑functional teams explore, adapt, test, and learn - in hardware and software.
  • Early failure is progress and invites everyone to experiment.
  • Fast sprints turn good ideas into prototypes and map the next steps.
Sweetspot community
We live team spirit

Innovation is a team sport - co‑created with our community. In our Experience Centers, groups try out early prototypes; their feedback sharpens every iteration, reveals unmet needs, and drives solutions that make everyday life tangibly better - and sometimes fundamentally different.

Delivering effortlessness, convenience and passion

Our approach makes uncertainty work for us: we learn faster, de‑risk earlier, and build connected products people genuinely want — often before they know it. The result is real, enduring value for our community around the globe.

A software and AI first company

Julius Ganns

We didn’t approach AI as a “wild experiment.” It was a clear strategic mandate to integrate AI into our products, our internal processes, and our work as a leadership team.

This conviction shapes how we develop, govern, and grow. Software and agent‑based AI aren’t add‑ons — they’re woven into our product ecosystems, our processes, and how we collaborate. At Vorwerk, AI is transforming how we work — and what’s possible at home. It accelerates information, structures content, automates tasks, and powers inspiring, smart features that make everyday life simpler and more intuitive.

Vorwerk Gruppe Cookidoo

Smart, connected, and continuously evolving product ecosystems

Our “hardware” is only the surface. Vorwerk products are intelligent, connected experiences that learn, adapt, and improve over time. 74% of our filed patents in the cleaning portfolio are software patents — evidence that our innovation strength is fundamentally digital, too. AI is already enhancing the entire customer journey. The Cookidoo® cooking assistant, our digital companion for Thermomix®/Bimby®, turns inspiration into reality — finding suitable recipes, narrowing options, and helping people decide faster and with more confidence. And there’s much more “simmering” that will be ready to discover soon.

In the kitchen, Thermomix®/Bimby® is the body, Cookidoo® the digital soul — and everyday life is the stage. With the Cookidoo® Assistant, AI becomes tangible: it finds the right recipes, filters options, and speeds up decisions.

Team work
Speed, quality, and smarter ways of working

We don’t just use modern tools — we build the backbone for them. Our internal AI platform, Vorwerk Assist, is the central entry point for AI use cases at Vorwerk — with clear guardrails for data security and protection, and seamless integration of company‑specific content. It supports how we collect, connect, and make knowledge accessible. We continuously explore agent‑based AI to meaningfully extend and challenge our workflows — unlocking new speed and flexibility for teams across the company.

Skills, confidence, and hands-on momentum

Technology is only as strong as the people who use it. We run AI capability programs across the Vorwerk organization so teams can integrate agentic engineering into their daily work — where it’s relevant, responsible, and truly helpful. We also foster creativity, courage, and proactivity through formats like coding workshops and hackathons.

The home of tomorrow

Column 4

We actively look beyond today’s ecosystem and design the home of tomorrow for our community. Together with leading experts, we are developing answers for a world increasingly shaped by robotics. That’s why we partner with two industry leaders: NEURA Robotics and NVIDIA.

Together, we are transforming the smart‑home experience — by bringing advanced, intelligent robotics into everyday household scenarios. With state‑of‑the‑art AI and robotics, we will further advance the seamless automation of household tasks — building on our integrated product ecosystem.

Markus Friedel

Working in robotics keeps surprising me, because it shows how complex seemingly simple things — like reaching for a glass — really are. What a human does without thinking requires a robot to orchestrate perception (sensing), AI (the “brain”), and actuation (movement) in perfect harmony.
