Thermomix®/Bimby®TM7 – like never before!

The first Vorwerk universal kitchen machine came to market. The VKM5 could already do quite a lot — mixing, puréeing, chopping, stirring, and whipping.

Hansjörg Gerber, a Swiss engineer at Vorwerk, invented the first Thermomix® in 1971—after a product demo almost went wrong. Because matches for the gas stove to heat the soup garnish were missing, the mixer demonstration could only take place with a significant delay. His idea: heat and blend at the same time in a single pot. That was the birth of the VM 2000.

What an upgrade from the ‘original Thermomix®’! With 12 speed settings, variable cooking temperatures from 50–100°C, a simmering basket, an integrated measuring cup, and a timer of up to 30 minutes, the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM3300 hit the spirit of the times in 1982. It was also the first model available in Germany.

Innovation continued in 1996: the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM21 integrated a scale and, with the Varoma®, brought the option of steam cooking to the Thermomix®/Bimby® kitchen.

In 2004, the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM31 arrived — a model still considered a classic. New features included the butterfly whisk as standard accessory, an integrated timer, reverse rotation for delicate foods, a turbo mode, and the 37°C setting for safe tempering, e.g., for yeast doughs.

The first Thermomix®/Bimby® with a display instead of a dial and an innovative digital ecosystem featuring Guided Cooking. Cookbooks were also available as recipe chips. At the same time the recipe platform—today known as Cookidoo®—came into being.

The Cook‑Key® connected the recipes in a user’s profile on the recipe platform with the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM5 — marking the birth of Cookidoo® and, with it, the digital ecosystem. A milestone in Thermomix®/Bimby® history.

Visually similar to the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM5, the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM6 introduced a larger display, built-in Cookidoo®, and temperatures up to 160°C.

A friend for Thermomix®/Bimby® TM5 and TM6 to which specific recipe steps could be delegated. This made parallel cooking with the Thermomix®/Bimby® possible—and got meals on the table faster.

Hand-peeling potatoes and vegetables became obsolete with the introduction of the Thermomix®/Bimby® Peeler. A positive side effect: the Thermomix®/Bimby® Peeler can also be used as a blade cover, for example during sous‑vide cooking.

Grating carrots and cheese, slicing cucumbers and salami into uniform pieces—this is all possible with the Thermomix®/Bimby® Cutter and the dedicated modes. With the double-sided reversible disc, you can achieve four perfect results. A long-held wish of the Thermomix®/Bimby® community finally came true.

Cakes from the oven, fish and meat from the pan—with the Thermomix®/Bimby® Sensor, it was now possible for the first time to extend the Thermomix®/Bimby® success guarantee beyond the mixing bowl. It measured core and ambient temperatures with precision and connected to the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM6 and TM7 as well as the Cookidoo® app.

The Thermomix®/Bimby® Cutter got an upgrade with the Thermomix®/Bimby® Spiralizer. It now lets you cut both wide and thin spirals—complete with a dedicated mode! A must-have for every veggie pasta fan!

With the launch of the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM7, we’re setting new standards: black instead of white, quieter than ever, a stage for a free-standing mixing bowl with an innovative locking mechanism, and a 10-inch multi-touch display. The digital experience — and the world of Cookidoo® — take center stage with the Thermomix®/Bimby® TM7. Hardware and software merge for maximum ease of use, introducing new modes such as Open Cooking, personalized settings, and a completely reimagined Guided Cooking experience.
