Continued great solidarity with Ukraine

Wuppertal, March 11, 2022 – The Vorwerk Group continues to view the ongoing Russian war of aggression on Ukraine with great concern and consternation. "Our sympathy in this war goes out to all people affected by the suffering, warlike conflicts. As a Vorwerk Community, it is very important to us to provide fast and reliable help. We therefore support initiatives and organizations that stand by children and their families in particular and help them to get to safety as quickly as possible," says Dr. Thomas Stoffmehl, Speaker of the Executive Board of the Vorwerk Group.

Following initial emergency aid from the Vorwerk Group in the amount of 100,000 euros and further donations from the owner family and national entities, a special donation page was set up for the Vorwerk Community in cooperation with "Stiftung RTL - Wir helfen Kindern e.V." – the fundraiser of Europe’s largest commercial broadcasters German TV channels. Via this website, all employees and advisor worldwide have the opportunity to participate in the fundraising campaigns as part of the Vorwerk Community. In total, more than 400,000 euros have now been donated. These funds directly support the SOS Children's Villages in Ukraine and life-saving evacuations to Poland and neighboring countries. Numerous donations continue to be received via the donation website to fund the urgently needed relief efforts.

Economically, the Vorwerk Group has no activities of its own in Ukraine and Russia. In both countries, only smaller trading partners act as independent distributors of Vorwerk products. The Vorwerk Group already stopped all deliveries of all products to the independent distributor in Russia immediately after the start of the war.
