In the world of our direct sales, there are personalities who shine far beyond the sales figures. In our series about our tireless advisors who have sold the most Thermomix® / Bimby® or Kobold / Folletto appliances in their Vorwerk market, we introduce you to Folletto advisor Davide Simeoni, whose growth-mindset shaped his success in Italy.

A leap of faith and willingness to work on yourself is sometimes all you need. In March 1994, Davide dared to try something new and transformed his life completely. The former waiter trusted himself and followed his colleague’s advice: He joined Vorwerk and became one of Italy’s number one Folletto advisors in 2007. His story is a testament to how careers can be life-changing – and how hard work, persistence, and resilience can rewrite a future.

Davide Simeoni’s determination and drive brought him not just the trust of his loyal customers, but the recognition of the Vorwerk family. In 2007, he was awarded as the “Best Folletto Advisor” of the year at the National Sales Convention in Sorrento, Italy. In the year following he was the first Folletto advisor to represent Italy at a Vorwerk wide sales recognition event.

The Fairytale of Product Demonstrations

From humble houses in the countryside, to luxurious villas – Davide shared his passion for Folletto products with every single customer, infusing each demonstration with captivating enthusiasm. “Demonstrations are always very exciting, because in the end all doors are different, customers are different”, he reflects.

The excitement of product demonstrations has never left him. After 30 years, Davide looks back at his beginnings with a smile. “My first demonstration by myself was at 9 pm. I left the house of the customers with my suitcase and the assembled vacuum cleaner in my hand, because I couldn't even disassemble it”, he says, “I made my first sale during my first demonstration”. 

Building Tomorrow’s Salesforce Today

What Davide has built is not just a career; it is a legacy. From that first daunting day of knocking doors to now purposefully giving back to the next generation of Folletto advisors, Davide has come full circle. Looking back, he attributes his success not only to his own efforts, but also to the people who helped him pave the way. “The advisor group is one of the most important things we have, because that's where we concentrate all our energy. We talk to each other; we consult and reach agreements together. It's especially useful for the moments when things don't go the way we would like. We have a team leader who supports us, we have a company that supports us. The group is a bit of a goldmine, a bit of our home.” 

For Davide, it’s not enough to show how to close a deal; he shares his mindset needed to succeed in the salesforce and in life. “Being a group is very important, especially for young people who are joining this profession. Young people have a lot to learn from more mature people. It’s important to support them, help them, and receive energy from them”, Davide explains. “We, the senior salespeople in the group, are the ones who encourage the young people to understand that Vorwerk is a company that truly helps everyone and gives us tools to be the best at our jobs. Many salespeople of a certain age have joined the Folletto salesforce for this very reason.” 

In a world where careers often come with a clear-cut path, Davide Simeoni’s journey is proof that sometimes knocking on one door can lead to the greatest success. Davide values his special moments at Vorwerk and keeps encouraging himself to set goals beyond sales-targets. He proudly states, “I am the type of person who doesn't give up easily, even if I seem a little shy. At the same time, I am also someone who always challenges himself. And when this happens, no one can stop me. This has been my fortune, and this is what I recommend. What I wish for all the young people who join this company is to stay in and fall in love with this job. In fact, I have been around for thirty years and can truly say that I have given my best.”
