An Inspiring Journey: Isabel Fernandéz Rodriguez From Spain

Isabel Fernández Rodriguez

In the world of our direct sales, there are personalities who shine far beyond the sales figures. In our series about our tireless advisors who have sold the most Thermomix® or Kobold appliances in their Vorwerk market, today we introduce you to Isabel Fernandéz Rodriguez from Spain who is one of these inspiring people

Isabel's impressive career at Vorwerk began in 2008. Her professional journey, which was born out of a deep passion for Thermomix®, is an impressive illustration of how vision and determination can lead to extraordinary success. She made the decision to work at Vorwerk after seeing an advertisement in the newspaper – a significant step that has changed her life forever.

The successful Team leader with more than 2000 customers still remembers her first demonstration as a Thermomix® advisor, which she prepared with a great deal of love and care.  “I started in my personal family environment. I practiced my first demonstration with my cousin - and she bought a Thermomix® straight away,” says Isabel. “Then my sister-in-law decided to buy her Thermomix®. She wanted to support me because I had just started as an advisor. And so, step by step, I expanded my customer base.” Her first positive experiences reinforced her decision to dedicate herself to her career with Thermomix®.

Moments of peace in everyday life

Cooking and everything to do with it also plays a major role in her private life. “I love looking for new recipes, trying them out, experimenting,” reveals the mother of two. In her free time, Isabel finds balance and inspiration for her work as a Team leader. “When I have time, I like to go to the beach, relax and listen to the sound of the sea,” she says. These moments of peace and quiet are important for her to find herself again and again in her demanding everyday life.

A very moving moment in her career was meeting a family that had been marked by a tragic illness. The family's eldest daughter had recently died from the same disease as their young son: epidermolysis bullosa. In this rare, genetic skin disease, the patient's skin is as fragile as the “wings of a butterfly”, which is why it is also known as butterfly disease.

When Isabel arrived at the family home, she experienced first-hand how the mother devoted herself to providing the best possible care for her child. “I left the house crying, shocked by what I had seen, and at the same time grateful for the life of having two healthy children in the world.” This experience reinforced her gratitude and her drive to give something back – and illustrates the close relationship she builds with her clients. Isabel loves her job; for her it's about much more than selling the Thermomix®, it's about the people and the very special bond she forms with them. “I'm still in contact with the family today and know that the boy is fortunately doing well, given the circumstances,” says Isabel. And the mother? “She even became an advisor herself.”

Commitment as the key to success

Looking back on her time at Vorwerk so far, Isabel sees every single stage as enriching – both personally and privately. However, she remembers her first quarter as Team leader with particular pride: back then, she immediately managed to exceed the sales of ten other teams. “Commitment is the key to success. The commitment of every single person in the team is what makes us strong together,” emphasizes Isabel.

Accordingly, Isabel also draws her motivation from the affection and support of her team. The common goals and strong cohesion within the group give her the strength to face new challenges every day. Her strong leadership and commitment in turn make her a role model for many other advisors.  This is another reason why she is keen to continue in her role as Team leader with great passion. “I look forward to continuing to grow with Vorwerk.”

Isabel's Thermomix® insider tip:

I would like to recommend the reverse rotation on setting 4. Many customers are not even aware of the possibilities offered by the reverse rotation and how food can be wonderfully chopped. Many of my customers, to whom I have revealed this trick, use the reverse rotation for chopping chicken or crab sticks, for example.
