In the world of our direct sales, there are personalities who shine far beyond the sales figures. In our series about our tireless advisors who have sold the most Thermomix® or Kobold appliances in their Vorwerk market, today we introduce you to Thermomix® Team leader Ewa Kawa from Poland who is one of these inspiring people.

Our advisors have a very special relationship with their customers. They focus on their needs and respond to them. And of course they are real sales professionals. Ewa Kawa from Poland experienced this at her first presentation. "I had sworn not to buy a Thermomix® – a short time later I was the first to leave the meeting with a Thermomix®," she says with a smile. The advisor at the time even offered her a place on his team. It didn't work out at the time, but Ewa Kawa has since experienced an impressive journey with Vorwerk: in 20 years, the Thermomix® Team leader has sold more than 4,180 appliances.

However, Ewa Kawa never gets bored: "I see everything that comes as a challenge, but also as an opportunity for us. Vorwerk ensures that we do not fall into a routine. A team of people works on it so that we as advisors can work better and motivate ourselves more." And the mother of two children is not lacking in personal motivation either. Passion, commitment and openness to encounters with customers – that's where the Team leader draws her energy from. "I keep thinking that this job is made for me. I just do my thing, I don't give up, I'm constantly in touch with my customers. I just love what I do."

Early promotion to Team leader

Vorwerk recognised her particular talent early on: "At that time, the requirement for becoming a Team leader was that you had to have been active as a advisor for six months beforehand," says Ewa Kawa. "I got this opportunity after just four months, when they realised that I was a 'jewel'." Her recipe for success? "Only and exclusively hard work and not giving up. In my opinion, there is no other way." She has given 6,000 product presentations in 20 years – not always under easy conditions. "The recipe for success is to keep enjoying what you do. The atmosphere is very important. I have met many wonderful people here at the company – the management, my colleagues – we all make sure that we feel comfortable here."

Her team, which is not that big but has one of the lowest fluctuation rates in Poland, also plays a major role in this. "These are people who value this collaboration, who enjoy being in contact with other people and getting out of their professional environment to meet others," she says, describing the attitude within her team. But what makes a good advisor? "I think dealing with people is crucial. Customers have to like you immediately, a few seconds decide how we are perceived. This first contact is very important."

Unforgettable moments

Such encounters can also become unexpectedly funny. Ewa Kawa reports on a very special presentation: "It was Polish Women's Day, the guests were having a great time, the children were having a pillow fight – even a picture fell off the wall. A crazy atmosphere, but the next day I had three orders." One of many unforgettable moments in her career, which will surely be followed by many more.

Ewa Kawa‘s Thermomix® insider tip: I personally love the Thermomix® Cutter – it's a real eye-opener. Cutting takes up most of our time, and this function is phenomenal in terms of speed.
